Changing your NBN wall socket out every 5-10 years and replacing with a new one is a good idea. Living around coastal areas causes corrosion. Minimum this will help with internet dropouts and also potential for higher speeds or throughput to your modem. Cost for the actual socket is $65 inc GST.
